Ten Minute RuleWhen you are in the classroom, you are not allowed to leave the room during the first or the last ten minutes of class. This is because those time periods are very important to do your flashbacks and exit slips.

Flashbacks and Exit slips
Flashbacks are what you do in class at the very beginning. It usually lasts about ten minutes. Teachers will have questions on the Smartboard or the white board. This is a time when you review what you have learned in previous weeks.
Exit slips are used at the end of each class for a review of what you have covered that day in class. All they are a few questions that you write the answers to on a piece of paper, and the teacher checks your work as you leave. Teachers give you grades for flashbacks and exit slips.
